VimpelCom IFRS revenue falls 3.3% to 73.4 bln rbl in Oct–Dec
MOSCOW, Feb 14 (PRIME) -- Revenue of Russian mobile operator VimpelCom decreased 3.3% on the year to 73.384 billion rubles in October–December, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company’s owner, VEON said on Friday in a report.
Mobile service revenue fell 5.9% to 55.309 billion rubles, while fixed-line service revenue rose 3.7% to 9.116 billion rubles.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased 19.3% to 29.705 billion rubles. The EBITDA margin rose 7.7 percentage points to 40.5%.
Capital expenditures excluding licenses soared 112.3% to 25.407 billion rubles.
The total number of customers fell 1.1% on the year to 54.6 million.
Revenue for the full 2019 year decreased 0.6% to 289.875 billion rubles.
Mobile service revenue fell 2% to 225.555 billion rubles, and fixed-line service revenue decreased 1.3% to 34.850 billion rubles.
EBITDA increased 21% to 126.698 billion rubles. The EBITDA margin rose 7.8 percentage points to 43.7%.
Capital expenditures excluding licenses soared 65.3% to 77.060 billion rubles.
